I grew a beard this summer. It’s the first beard I have physically been able to grow. When I’ve tried in the past, I often end up with random sprouts of hair on my face. Mind you, my moles are consistently the most prolific whisker makers. There is a mole on my right cheek that if left a day or two, becomes the consistency of a needle. So much for Montreal style greetings. I have to keep that one well trimmed, at least for the sake of the French.

One of the hardest parts of recording for the drummer is the over-dub process.  All the drums are done and, aside from the occasional tambourine or shaker, there's not much else to do.  Luckily, two factors contributed to me having more to do this time around. First of all, I get to sing a little more these days and I'm loving it! Secondly, JIM BOUGHT A BIG GREEN EGG so I became the session Chef! It was great to cook for my boys while we polished up the tunes.  Maybe I should do it on the road??

I hope Tyler posts video of this really soon, cause it's awesome.  Tyler has spent the last 3 or 4 hours preparing some killer ribs on the patio here.  He decided mid prep that he need to sing a really high harmony, so he rolled in to the iso booth with rib sauce and beans all over his apron, and just rocked it.  So funny.  Ty in his sunglasses, and apron bustin some BGs.  I love my job.

It's so nice to have a fancy new way to communicate with y'all!  Special thanks to Mace and Thales and Nettwerk for putting this together.

If you've been following our studio updates www.twitter.com/barenakedladies you already know that we're in the home stretch of recording the new Barenaked Ladies album.  Just a few more backing vocals and some shakes and quakes and we'll be ready to mix dis ting with the legendary Bob Clearmountain.

We're on pace for another 2 song day like we had yesterday.  But we just spun up "Graffiti Love" which is feeling kick ass.  Maybe this one actually only needs some BGs, and we can move on to another.  Fingers crossed.  Tyler is cooking steaks on the Big Green Egg.  Mmmmmmmm

It's 11:23.  Sixteen minutes after I first wrote this post using Firefox, and decided to take advantage of the spellchecking abilities of Safari.  Being a computer wizard, I simply selected, and copied all my text, launched Safari, then copied and pasted in the website url in to Safari... losing the entire post.  I suck.  We've set ourselves the lofty goal of 3 plus songs per day in order to finish all 18 by this Friday.  Ambitious?  Ridiculous?... Impossible??

At a press conference held at the CN Tower yesterday in Toronto, BNL together with Ben & Jerry's and ABC Canada, launched "If I Had A Million Flavours". A new ice cream flavour available through Ben & Jerry's in Canada.

Ed had this to say about the partnership, "We're thrilled to be partnering with Ben and Jerry's. It's very cool to be the namesake for the first ever Canadian flavour! We share a desire to support great causes, and a deep rooted love of all things Ice Cream!".
